I haven't posted in ages because I really haven't been up to it. It feels like I'm physically falling apart these days. I had a major tooth ache in one of my molars about 3 weeks ago, so I go to the dentist (Japanese) and am told I need a root canal done. Fine. So I look it up on the net and find out that it's not as painful a procedure as most people think, but that it might take "a couple of visits" to the dentist. Well, I've been in that chair getting my tooth drilled, scraped and temporarily filled for a total of TEN times in the past 3 weeks! I'm told this is normal for a Japanese dentist.
The good thing is, while I was getting my tooth's nerve pulled out, I managed to design a knitted vest with contrast colored ribbing and an intarsia band across the chest in my head! I call it the "Root Canal Vest", and I plan to buy the yarn for it and start knitting as soon as this darn tendinitis or whatever it is in my arm heals up. Yep, got it from knitting too much, or too hard. Been taking a break from knitting now for about 5 days - and am going insane without it!
So I'm literally hurting from head to toe. One of the first posts I ever wrote on this blog (has since been deleted) was about my infected ingrown toenail on my left big toe. That was a year ago, and so far I've had the thing cut out by 2 different doctors (the first one doing so without completely freezing the thing!), and guess what? It's grown in again and is terribly infected - possibly needing to be cut out a 3rd time!
There's a whole slough of other problems wrong with this body of mine, but I won't get into them now. Ultimately, I know things could be a whole lot worse. I thank my lucky stars every day that I'm healthy enough to be able to provide the best care possible to my infant daughter, and really that's all that matters, right?
I'm done venting...
